Inilunsad ng Quezon City Public Employment Service Office (QC PESO) sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, ang isang Employers’ Forum upang mabigyan ng mas maraming oportunidad ang mga QCitizens na naghahanap ng trabaho. Layunin din nitong magkaroon ng mas malapit na ugnayan ang QC government at ang mga employers at business community at upang matiyak na ang mga programa ng pamahalaang lungsod ay angkop sa pangangailangan ng mga kompanya at namamasukang manggagawa dito. Ang nasabing forum ay ginanap sa loob ng tatlong araw, simula July 5 hanggang July 7, at dinaluhan ng halos 400 kompanya mula sa iba’t-ibang larangan ng industriya at paggawa.   International Labour Organization (ILO) Director General Gilbert Houngbo has visited the Quezon City government’s Migrant Resource Center (QC MRC) on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the country’s membership to the United Nations (UN) agency mandated to safeguard social and economic justice by setting international labor standards. The partnership between the Quezon City government and the ILO was strengthened with the signing of partnership last year through BRIDGE and Safe and Fair Programmes, funded by the Multi-Partner Trust Fund and the European Union. The Quezon City Migrants Resource Center (QC MRC) was established through the enactment of City Ordinance SP-2500 with the aim to serve more than 180,000 migrant workers who reside in the city. Matamis at kapaki-pakinabang ang isinagawang pagdiriwang ng World Bee Day sa Quezon Memorial Circle nitong Mayo 19, sa kolaborasyon ng Beengo Farm, Quezon City Public Employment Service Office, pangasiwaan ng Quezon Memorial Circle, The Joy of Urban Farming, katuwang ang Concentrix. Ito ang unang pagdaos ng World Bee Day ng isang LGU sa Pilipinas. Ipinaliwanag ni Mr Gary Ayuste, founder ng Beengo Farm, ang kahalagahan ng pag-aalaga ng mga bubuyog. “Karamihan po ng pagkain at damit natin ay naka-depend sa kanila. Ganoon kalaki ang industriya ng pag-aalaga ng mga bubuyog.” sabi niya. Makatutulong din ang mga bubuyog sa mga naghahardin at sa mga urban farmers ng Lungsod Quezon dahil sa likas nilang papel bilang pollinators, ayon kay Mr Ayuste. “For you to have a good harvest, kailangan niyo ng good numbers ng pollinators,” aniya. “Hindi naman hihingi ng porsyento ng harvest ninyo ang mga bubuyog.   Malakas na pangako ng pagtulong sa kalikasan ang narinig sa graduation ceremony ng unang batch ng Community Garbage to Garden Project. Ang pagtatapos, na may temang "Cultivating Change, Harvesting Hope" ay idinaos sa Quezon City Experience, Quezon Memorial Circle, noong Abril 25, 2023. Ito ay isinagawa ng Bokashi Pinoy, katuwang ang Quezon City Public Employment Service Office, Joy of Urban Farming, at Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines. Limampu’t-limang graduate ng programa ang binigyan ng sertipiko matapos dumalo sa apat na learning session, kung saan sila ay tinuruan ng bokashi method ng pag-compost. Ang bokashi method ay isang organic na paraan ng paggawa ng isang pandagdag sa nakapagpapataba ng lupa.   Ang mga programa at serbisyo ng Pamahalaang Lungsod Quezon na nakalaan para sa mga kasambahay sa lungsod ay inilahad ng QC Public Employment Service Office (QC PESO) sa isang pagtitipon para ipagdiwang ang "Araw ng Kasambahay" na pinangunahan ng DOLE - Bureau of Workers with Special Concern. Ito ay ginanap sa Hotel Lucky China Town, Binondo, Manila noong 21 Enero 2023. Ang patuloy na pagsusulong sa mga programa at serbisyo para sa mga kasambahay ay alinsunod sa direktiba ni Mayor Joy Belmonte na ilahok ang partisipasyon ng karamihan para sa pag-unlad.   The Quezon City Migrant Resource Center (QC MRC) recently held a workshop that added knowledge and skills on the case and database management to Help Desk staff and representatives of the Migrant and Development Council from other departments of the city government, as well as those from the District Action office. The workshop was conducted to enable the participants to learn the process of how to properly respond to OFWs or migrant workers who seek assistance from MRC and other city offices. It would also help them create a unified communication or connectivity between each department regarding information taken from migrant workers that they have assisted. The workshop also aims to improve and expand the capability to gather information and data on migrant workers taken by the MRC as well as from the different city departments and district action offices.
