QC-LGU GETS DOST-NCR RECOGNITION FOR SUPPORT, COMMITMENT OF TECH & INNOVATION DEVT PROGRAMS (iSTART) AS SMART CITY

 

The Quezon City Government has received recognition from the Department of Science and Technology - National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) for its efforts, support and commitment in the implementation of the Innovation, Science and Technology for Accelerating Regional Technology-Based Development (iSTART) Program and Smart City in Quezon City.

QC Mayor Joy Belmonte had tasked PESO manager Rogelio L. Reyes to receive the Plaque of Recognition for the city government from the DOST-NCR in a simple ceremony today, August 30, held at SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, at the start of the 2023 Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week in NCR.


Under the leadership of Mayor Joy Belmonte, the Quezon City Government had initiated some technology-driven initiatives and programs that had developed and improved the quality of public service to city residents. Some of these programs include the digital tax payment, QC ID for residents, assistance for displaced workers through Alagang QC, etc,
