Sa tulong naman ng kapitbahay nilang si Joseph Menguito, ang mga naipong materyales ay dadalhin sa drop-off point ng barangay para sa nakatakdang lingguhang koleksiyon. QC PESO MANAGER INIHAYAG ANG MATAGUMPAY NA PROYEKTO PARA SA MGA PALEROS NG LUNGSOD

Inihayag ni QC PESO manager Rogelio L. Reyes ang matagumpay na proyektong ginawa ng Pamahalaang Lungsod para mapalakas (empower), maiangat at matugunan ang pangangailangan at kondisyon sa paggawa ng mga paleros ng lungsod sa isang palatuntunan na ginanap sa Flag Raising ceremony kaninang umaga, 7:00 am, ngayong Nobyembre 18, sa City Hall grounds. Ayon kay G. Reyes, maituturing na hamon sa QC PESO ang mga dumating na mga pagsubok katulad ng paghingi ng tulong ng halos 200 waste workers o paleros na nawalan ng trabaho noong Pebrero ngayong taon. Ang grupo ay humiling na bigyang pansin ang kanilang hinaing para sa makataong kondisyon sa paggawa at disenteng tranaho. BARANGAY BAGONG SILANGAN BAGS DOST 2023 BEST CEST AWARD IN NCR

Barangay Bagong Silangan from District 2 in Quezon was awarded the Best Community Empowerment Through Science and Technology (CEST) beneficiary in the NCR with Two hundred thousand pesos (PhP200,000) in financial aid for its project. Barangay Bagong Silangan will vie for the National Best CEST award. The award was given in a simple ceremony during the Stakeholders Night of the DOST-NCR 2023 Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week held in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) gives the award to highlight the best practices of communities empowered through the support of various Science, Technology and- Innovation (STI) programs. QC LGU, DOST-NCR TO COLLABORATE IN IMPLEMENTING iSTART PROGRAM IN QC

  The Quezon City Government and the Department of Science and Technology-National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreeing to work jointly and collaborate in implementing the iSTART Program in the city.   The DOST Regional Offices are implementing the Innovation, Science and Technology for Accelerating Regional Technology Based Development (iSTART) Program. The MOU would enable the DOST-NCR to mainstream STI (Science, Technology and Innovation) in existing development plans, and/or to create a separate STI Plan supplementary to its existing development plans outlining the technology-based projects in the city. Under the MOU, a city-level technical working group (TWG) will be formed and created to coordinate with the QC LGU and DOST in undertaking the iSTART project.
