UNANG GRUPO NG URBAN FARMERS MULA SA QC COMMUNITY GARBAGE TO GARDEN PROJECT, NAGTAPOS NG BOKASHI COMPOSTING TRAINING

  Malakas na pangako ng pagtulong sa kalikasan ang narinig sa graduation ceremony ng unang batch ng Community Garbage to Garden Project. Ang pagtatapos, na may temang "Cultivating Change, Harvesting Hope" ay idinaos sa Quezon City Experience, Quezon Memorial Circle, noong Abril 25, 2023. Ito ay isinagawa ng Bokashi Pinoy, katuwang ang Quezon City Public Employment Service Office, Joy of Urban Farming, at Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines. Limampu’t-limang graduate ng programa ang binigyan ng sertipiko matapos dumalo sa apat na learning session, kung saan sila ay tinuruan ng bokashi method ng pag-compost. Ang bokashi method ay isang organic na paraan ng paggawa ng isang pandagdag sa nakapagpapataba ng lupa. Dito, ang food waste at iba pang mga organic na materyal na basura ay pinapa-ferment, sa tulong ng mga ispesyalistang good bacteria. QUEZON CITY'S FIRST SOCIAL SOLIDARITY ECONOMY ENGAGEMENT FORUM: A VISION OF SOLIDARITY INTO REALITY

  Photos from PAISD/Quezon City Government Representatives from 31 social entrepreneur (SE) groups and 8 supporting organizations have committed to turn a vision of solidarity into reality at the first Social Solidarity Economy Engagement Forum. The event, conducted by Quezon City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), took place at the Quezon City Executive Lounge, High Rise Building, Quezon City Hall last April 21, 2023. The concept of SSE Social solidarity economy (SSE) refers to economic practices that focus on social profitability over solely financial gains. Anyone involved is such activities is encouraged to actively participate in making decisions. Given SSE’s democratic and inclusive nature, it has been touted as a way to uphold social justice and give a voice to vulnerable and marginalized sectors. Similarly, SE’s are entrepreneurs whose economic ventures set out to solve a problem and focus on social and environmental development as opposed to purely financial profit
